Hello, I have a windows xp pro client that is on a domain. I use a roming profile. When I logoff, my profile changes are not syncronised to the server. I know this because when I change some registry settings and logoff, when I log back on, they are back to the default. Also, I cannot change the target for the my documents folder. The box is read-only until I delete the disabilPersonalDirChange value in the registry. Then I can change the target, but it is only changed until I logoff and log back on again. Please help! Thanks, Mike Rouillard

Mike, Sounds to me that your PC is either a. On a domain and you are trying to hack the server. b. No longer on the domain due to criminal activities and therefore wont work properly. Perhaps you could ask your "friends" to go back and get the discs. Please stop asking us to help you hack the computer.

I'm not trying to hack anything. I just want to know why my settings aren't getting saved and how to fix it.

Try reading your last 3 posts, this one and the two listed below, as an outsider.

Someone that doesnt know you, or your system(s), and tell me that you dont look like
someone trying to hack something.
