Some good questions there, thanks. I tried deleting picking2 from the user's print
spooler, but it came back. Probably because it's shared on the server. In any case
this isn't a good solution, because he does use picking2 sometimes.
>does the same problem occur in other programs as well?
I have emailed the user and he will get back to me soon.
>are you all working with a single computer, or multiple units?
This is an office environment. There are desks, each with a desktop computer on it.
People tend to sit at the same desk (and so use the same workstation) every day.
Computers are not tied to users; any user can log on to any workstation.
>which of those two printers is set as the default printer for the computer that
user is using?
The default for this user is dispatch1. I made sure of this yesterday.
>is the "dispatch1" printer connected elsewhere within the local network? is it always
online or turned on?
Dispatch1 is never turned off, even at night. I have tried to educate the guys on
saving power, but it doesn't seem to sink in. I think I'm going to have to crack
into our power grid and install some timer hacks. (j/k)
