restart Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 6:51 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by jan (3 messages posted) when I go to start button,turn off computer, and choose the restart option, my computer goes blank and will not restart. the start button on the box stays lit and the hard drive light stays on . I can hard boot it at this point and it loads corectly. It shows no errors in the event viewer.  Shut down option works correctly. Hp Pavillion a640n  with all updates are installed running sp3. reinstalled but same thing still happening. also dont believe I have any maleware or virus.
