Lost user connectivity on network shares

Have a machine with the issue that upon reboot, loses network share connections. Network share information is displayed in My Network Places, so it's not as if it's forgotten which network it is a part of.... When trying to view any share contents user is prompted to enter username and password. Connection works fine after this is entered (for all shares on server). And continues to work correctly as long as user only logs off rather that shuts down/restarts machine. But this need occurs after each reboot. Any ideas on what is going on?
