I move my Docs & Settings to a separate partition, and keep my System and Programs
partitions at around 6GB, that creates a disk image file of about 4gb. I've installed
a second physical hard drive in my desktop, and make the drive images to the second
drive, so that it's really fast. I will occasionally copy these drive images to a
DVD, so I make sure to keep them small enough to fit on the rather inexpensive 4.7GB
size. The second physical hard drive makes the operation much faster, but you could
do well with an external usb drive. Don't use a Flash drive, and 4GB would be too
small for 10GB worth of files.
