. . . WinPatrol has very good facilities for managing startup entries. It finds more than MSCONFIG shows, and allows you to delay some items if that suits you. You can also manage ActiveX items etc.

It is free, trouble-free in my experience, and available here.

Whenver windows are loading, a lot of services and other processes are just starting up/loading in the background.Some makes there startup entry whenever a new program is installed.All this leads to make ur PC run slow.Speed of PC can b increased by managing your startup progrms using startup manager of an application.I have used one application "Advanced System Optmizer".You can use its startupmanager , it helps me managing my startup program.You can download it from cnet

The normal way would be to Run: msconfig and add or remove the ticks in the Statup tab.

The best was that I've found is CCleaner Tools-Startup.

 Again you can disable or delete an app. Thats if your not using it already.
