Even with pop-up monitoring turned on there are some that can evade it and they will show up under others or on your task bar. If you have a lot opened they will not be noticed until you start closing others and all of the sudden you see a small one for NET FLICKS (one of the common ones) or something else. Not to worry. The only one that has any Mal intent is the one that pops up and says it want to check your machine for virus activity and then won't shut down. That one you have to use "Task Manager" IMMEDIATELY to get rid of it lest it install itself in your registry. Then you have to have your virus protection sort it out.
