You can check the battery health as per directions there if you have the LED's
on the battery or, watch the Utube video here:

My batteries don't have the "on battery" indicators, but the batteries started
losing capacity slowly after the LED's started flashing. One is 6 years old but still
lasts about 45 minutes. The cooler the battery, the longer it lasts, and yes, it
does need to be charged and discharged for better health during it's life. Kind
of like humans getting exercise to reduce the aging effects. ;-)
