Unfortunately, this doesn't change the behavior. I've also tried setting it to open in a new window and then back to open in the same window. And I've tried restoring defaults. and making sure it has open in same window selected. But, explorer still opens a new window each time. I've been getting around the problem by opening each folder by using hte right click popup window.

Another oddity is that it varies which is bold in the right click pop up menu. Sometimes it's "explore" and sometimes it's "open". It seems that if I select the one that is bold, it opens in the same window, otherwise it opens in a new window.
