Trying to help get wife's laptop (Compaq Presario F572US) to run a little faster & I'd like some help w/what I can disable from Services & Startup.  Wish I could post picks, but here it is.

Using MSCONFIG, these are listed under Services:
Com4Qlb - Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Stopped
GameConsoleService - WildTangent, Inc. - Stopped
HP Health Check Service - Hewlett-Packard - Running
hpqwmiex- Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Running
InstallDriver Table Manager - Microvision Corporation - Stopped
LightScribeService DDLS - Hewlett-Packard Company - Running
McciCMService - Motive Communications, Inc. - Running
RoxMediaDB9 - Sonic Solutions - Stopped
stlssvr - Microvision Development, Inc. - Stopped
XAudioService - Conexant Systems, Inc. - Running

Using MSCONFIG, these are listed under Startup:
Windows Defender - Microsoft Corporation
HP Wireless Assistant - Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Synaptics Pointing Device Driver - Synaptics, Inc.
HP QuickPlay - Cyberlink Corp.
HP Quick Launch Buttons - Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
HP Wireless Assistant - Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
hp digital imaging: hp all-in-one series - Hewlett-Packard Company
HP Health Check Scheduler - Unknown
Verizon_McciTrayApp - Motive Communications
QuickTime - Apple Inc.
NVIDIA Driver Helper Service, v98.15 - NVIDIA Coprorartion
NVIDIA Compatible Win2000 Display Driver, v98.25 - NVIDIA Coprorartion
NVIDIA Media Center Library - NVIDIA Coprorartion
Adobe Acrobat - Adobe Systems Inc.
Microsoft Windows OS - Microsoft Corporation
HP Total Care Advisor - Hewlett-Packard
Microsoft Windows OS - Microsoft Corporation
Kodak EasyShare Software - Eastman Kodak Company

I know some Services & Startups I can disable, but would appreciate some input.

HP Wireless Assistant is listed 2x b/c each has a different Command: one is WiFiMsg.exe & the other is HPWAMain.exe.
Same goes for the OS, one is sidebar.exe & other is ehTray.exe.
