mozilla firefox browser

A week ago I wanted to go into MySpace.com looking
for a friend. When I clicked to the website I got a
prompt on my screen asking me to "upgrade my browser". I use firefox and am being
asked to upgrade to 3.6 so I obviously use a lower one in my WinME PC. I tried to
download the 3.6 browser but it seems that my WinMe is so outdated that I am not
allowed. So my question today for you guys is this: Is there a way to download a
3.6 brower?

You can download it, but it won't run on WinMe. There is a way to make MySpace.com
accept what you have. The method is explained, along with other options, in the following
thread on another site.

ancien thank you for your advise. I download 3.6 and
when I click to open it I get "Set up has caused an error SETUP.EX" and say it will
now close.
I use my IE browser for MySpace but because my
default browser is firefox I have stubbornly tried to
download 3.6 mozilla firefox. With IE I have no issues
with MySpace. I will look at the link you sent. THANKS.

Which version?
It appears that 2.0.0.20 was the last version that ran on WinME. Thats FileHippo's
technical spec but you can never believe it. Oldapps.com say all versions run on
Win95 to Win7, bull. Mozilla only show 3.6.
There are other newer free browser available.
Opera 9.64
Which version of IE are you using? You could goto IE6.0 SP1 if your not already using
it.
I only use IE on my WinME, WinXP and Vista. Its good enough for what I need. I've
tried FireFox and Opera but I wasn't impressed with them.

IE is a virus magnet. That is why many people have stopped using it.

Firefox 3 will run quite happily on Windows ME.
You will need to install the Kernel Extender program (KernelEx.exe) first, in order
to run Firefox 3 (any version of Firefox 3). Without the Kernel Extender the last
version of Firefox which runs on Win9x is v2.0.0.20.
Get KernelEx.exe from http://sourceforge.net/projects/kernelex/
