|I downloaded the new version of CCleaner as you suggested. I then ran a Symantec Security free scan. I still found the one "bstore//dssagent.exe" adware infection. I went back and ran my new CClearner hoping to catch and delete the infection, and although CCleaner deleted approximately 2000 files from original of 42, 073 -- the infection-threat is still there.

CCleaner doesn't delete anything that isn't in the delete options you set normally thats everything in C:\Windows\Temp folder plus Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.

Actually I tried to reply to this earlier but there was some bug in my system. Every time I pressed e that would open My Computer and when I pressed l that wanted to log me off. I've done a full virus check and malware scan but that didn't pick anything up. When the computer starts up I get a web page showing some bull, when I checked Task Manager iexplorer.exe is still running also regsvr32.exe which registers dll's and such. I did a system restore for a couple of days and that appeared to fix the keyboard. I checked CCleaner Tools/Startup and there was something running regsvr32.exe along with an obscure dll. I found the dll and deleted it and remove regsvr32.exe from startup, at the moment it appears ok.
