I stared this thread with 8 infections and with the assistance of Annoyances.Org got it down to 1. Belatedly I found the link below as the tool to remove adware. Perhaps it will benefit someone in the future and Annoyances may refer to it. I have not used it yet due to my ignorance and confusion as to whether one adware infection is worth the hassle.
