There are some plugins that help with video's embeded in pages, in firefox just
goto the firefox add-ons page, search for flash and you will finds some.
Also a plugin you should get is the enable disable java and javascript toolbar
buttons, keep java off unless you have to turn it on for a spacific page, then turn
it back off.
One thing that got me once, is some pages force flash to upgrade, even when you
have upgrade turned off in firefox and the flash player, the newest flash versions
will not work in WinMe/95/98.

you can download the older version again, then uninstall the newer flash, and
reinstall and old version, I personaly like the ones before 9 as there is a flash
trojan web page installer that infects versions of flash past version 9.
one weirdness with u-tube is some links work in old flash some don't you can almost
always get the vid you want to view by doing it in a differant way, such as searching,
etc.
Also the flash download and u-tube video download plugins help to by pass u-tube
problems.
As do things like spoofing the browser version, etc. More plug-ins :-)
I love plugins, oh make sure to use advanced options on firefox plugins page and
select show versions for your firefox version.
