In fact the latest flash videos will play in Windows ME.
Version 9.0.262.0 is the latest version of Flash Player 9 for Windows 98 and ME,
Macintosh, and Linux.
You simply need to choose the Flash plug-in for the type of browser which you prefer
to use. There are now compatible browser plug-ins for not only Internet Explorer
and Firefox, but also for other browsers.
If you go to the following Adobe page, it gives you various different downloads (compatible
with Windows 9x, Mac OS X, and all versions of Linux) depending on which browser
you want to view Flash videos in: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406791.html
Otherwise, view Flash video files without using a browser, by downloading the .FLV
file and playing it from your hard disk. I can recommend the following players for
Windows 98SE and ME -
Media Player Classic v6.4.9.1 (MPLAYERC.EXE):
Download Media Player Classic here
Applian FLV Player v2.0.25 (FLVPlayer.exe):
Download Applian FLV Player here
Wimpy FLV Player v2.5.0.21:
Download Wimpy FLV Player here
GOM Player v2.1.21.4846 (GOM.exe) (my personal favourite):
Download Gom Player here
