The cable modem is in the basement along with the router. I have internet, phone and tv with cable. I looked at the setup picture and mine is not like that. I have a little box at each computer too.. . those seem to be working.......because the new computer is working fine. Please just hang with me here I'm trying to understand I can be a little dense at times.....when I put the router software disk in the computer it gives me a setup like the picture link you gave me, but the cable people told me that had nothing to do with anything.
