Hi, Keith, Your reply is so generous in its depth and expansiveness that I'll have
to reread it a time or two, taking notes, to distill its contents and render them
in terms I can comprehend. Trust that I will and soon.
My goal is to put something together will handle all my writing's aspects with a
large, expandable memory ready to keep up with new OS's, peripherals, memory-eating
software, and be reasonably expected to handle the above for several years, minimum.
I'm a media buff: movies, music, books, visual images, Photoshop, personally generated
image library, etc., with a sophisticated writing package.
I am worried that even 10 year old computers will soon be inable to keep up with
the newly muscular upgrades, etc., that require high speed processing and mammother
memore capacity.
I'll check the link you mention.
Thanks. Maybe I'll see you there.
