Msdos 6.22 machine, new type motherboard with pc100 mem. NIc card installed with Microsoft Network-Client 3.0 in dos. another machine with windows xp pro. how can i connect threw the ethernet from the xp machine to see files on the dos machine. cross over cable? normal cable? also how can i change the out put print in dos to go threw the ethernet to save to file on the xp machine. I have done research on this and have not come up with much. all the other connections serial and paralell on the xp machine are filled already. to add more to this i have a old dos program and need to get the out put of the print funtion to save to file, either on the xp or have xp see the file saved on the mdsod 6.22 hard drive to access and print from the xp. The program will not work on an xp machine no matter how much i adjust mem and setting.
