startup win 7 ?

startup win 7 ?

when i turn on my monitor on and then the computer. the hp logo is there and no i
cons load. if i turn off monitor off and back on the icons show up.
this is new computer just hooked up. it has 8gig memory and 1trig hard
drive / quad core processer. any thoughts on this? thank you

Hmm, could be something loose i.e. your Monitor cable to your pc, or your Video card,
etc. Check it out but don't do too much, since it is a new PC and you do not want
to Void your warranty, it might be worth taking it back to have a look at it while
it is still under warranty.

Have you tried leaving your monitor ON? It will go into sleep mode by itself when
it is not being used. Then see if the icons show up when the system is booted.

problem solved.had both monitor cables hooked. left the vga cable connected and woola

the two that hooks to the monitior then to computer. one has blue ends the other
has white ends. unhooked the blue and everything works fine.
