You need to pickup better Computer Speakers that have Bass and treble Controls built into the Hardware. Usually small controls on the Front of one of the Speakers, some better ones have a small remote control to adjust settings.

i've used winamp player in the past, it has a little equalizer which can *enhance* the bass and treble, but yea you can get a decent pair of speakers with a subwoofer for relatively cheap. if you enjoy music that much, or movies or whatever, then it's worth the investment. trust me, it will make a world of difference. there are also stand alone software programs that can sort of artificially amplify sound in alot of ways, but nothing competes with true quality speaker sound. OR, invest in a good pair of headphones. perhaps you need a little better sound card if you want more power. if it's onboard sound, you are limited somewhat. a stand alone PCI expansion sound card will enhance the whole experience. good luck

Thanks guys. I use a pair of JVC headphones I got at Walmart. I was thinking you could adjust treble and bass inside the computer. Am I wrong? I thought I could do this when I had Me.

Windows itself doesn't have a feature like Bass and treble. It would be 3rd party stuff. I have a 200 dollar Sound card on one PC that has added features, but it is geared to hook up to a Home theater system. The Media Player Winamp was a good suggestion, but most Computers use a motherboard sound card, and are limited.

Thanks, everyone. I guess I'll stick with the way things are for now.

A few of the better powered Computer speakers, also have a Headphone jack built in. This allows the Bass Treble controls to work for the Headphones also.

Most sound devices support bass and treble controls, but you might need updated drivers
and or software to access it. First, open Windows Media Player - in "now playing"
there should be a full graphic equaliser in the bottom left corner (you may have
to cycle through the options for that area of the WMP window to find it). If so,
there should be a similar function in RealPlayer. A graphic equaliser is just a fancy
bass and treble control.

If no joy, find out what model your sound device is and whether there is an updated
driver / mixer software.

Sorry, I was looking at the XP Media Player - best thing is open the help in WMP
(press F1) and search for the word "equalizer" Or do the same in RealPlayer
