Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 5:34 pm Posted by Matt Rengers (27 messages posted) i've used winamp player in the past, it has a little equalizer which can *enhance* the bass and treble, but yea you can get a decent pair of speakers with a subwoofer for relatively cheap. if you enjoy music that much, or movies or whatever, then it's worth the investment. trust me, it will make a world of difference. there are also stand alone software programs that can sort of artificially amplify sound in alot of ways, but nothing competes with true quality speaker sound. I have a 200 dollar Sound card on one PC that has added features, but it is geared to hook up to a Home theater system. First, open Windows Media Player - in "now playing" there should be a full graphic equaliser in the bottom left corner (you may have to cycle through the options for that area of the WMP window to find it). If so, there should be a similar function in RealPlayer. A graphic equaliser is just a fancy bass and treble control.
