Weird HDD Partition Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:57 pm Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by sean (342 messages posted) I recently purchased an SSD drive to put windows 7 and some programs on. When I installed Windows it created a 100mb partition on the drive. Which is weird because I've nevr had to do that before on spinning hdd's. Is this windows 7 way of keeping some memory modules unused for when the chips eventually go bad?
