Win7 search index refuses to move Friday, August 6, 2010 at 7:20 am Windows 7 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Dev (3 messages posted) It is possible to move Windows 7 search index by going to Control Panel / Indexing Options, clicking Advanced, then under Index Setting clicking Select New and selecting a new location. However, no matter how many times I tried, and also stopping the Windows Search Service, the index location does not change. Any ideas? Thank you.
