Greetings

I'm new to 7, so bear with me please. After seeing that you could create a system image (not restore point) with 7, I did so 6 times over 3 or 4 months, manually deleting the previous one before creating a new one. All images were saved to an external HD. While deleting old restore points, I noticed that the image points still remained listed in system restore window, even tho I have deleted them. Did some Google research and turned off system restore on the external drive and it said deleting points. I then used the delete points option thru disc cleanup as well as turning of system restore altogether. Still, after reenablling, the system images are still listed in system restore. All previous restore points were deleted. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these ghost entries. I tried everything I can think of as well as  several suggestions found on various sites, but nothing seems to work. A search, reveals system image folder inside System Volume Information, but cannot access.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
