I am running 2 old 1998-1999 Dells one a desktop on win98se + a free downloaded user
made upgrade I found on the net. Laptop is running win2000 and I have found the best
place for software is on majorgeeks.com. I was going to turn the laptop into a Linux
machine, but spec's will not cut it even at a min requirements. Firefox 3.5 works
good and the new flash 10 is also working fine on the laptop. When they drop the
support I figure someone will try and do some updates (user made) to stretch the
life span of win2k. Ten year old computers still running and I am impressed even
though they are only used for web surfing and old games/programs and have outlasted
2 other computers that are about 4years older.
