So i bought a video card, nvidia geforce 256mb 6200 PCI "PNY". and this is messing
up. My screen flickers and if i open something screen freezes but i can still move
my mouse.. Idk what to do. I installed it the way i have installed 1 b4 and its exactly
the way the directions say to do it, plug the card into the pci slot, load windows,
let windows install as "New hardware" Restart, Install directx9.0, restart, Install
video card drivers, restart.
I have done that 2x times and reformatted, reinstalled windows, and still the same
results. So I have to goto the bios and run in VGA mode.. So I cant set anything
that has to do with video options. What am I not seeing here? Could it be the video
card? It doesnt have a power connector, but maybe it does, There is this 2 prong
"Male" connector by the heat sink, But i assumed since it didnt come with anything
for this, It was for a fan upgrade. So I really dont know what to do at this point.
thnx,
Ross
