You can stop the bootup menu with a click or two of the mouse but because you put
all the water into one can so to speak and the reg file holds that info you will
have errors when you remove the Windows folder from the machine.
It's best to start over and clean install one OS on it's own partition or just install
win2k.
If you want to remove the bootup menu do this.
In win2k
Right click on MyComputer/Prop./Adv.Folder/Startup and Reovery button, at the top
you will see Default OS listed hit the down arrow select windows 2000 for the default.
Then OK and reboot, you will NOT see the bootup menu it will just start the logon
for win2k.
If you want to play with the machine and give things a try out rename the Windows
folder to Window_ and then reboot then try and run some of your win98 programs and
see what comes up.
If you are happy camper and you want to get the space back DEL. the Window_ folder
and all of the sub folders will be gone also, BUT do run it for a bit b/4 you remove
windows from the machine.
Good Luck
