Adrian gave you a good way to get the job done
But it maybe the way you are trying to use the win2k cd.
Try it one more time.
When you see the install menu
Hit the Enter key
It will ask you if you want to repair the OS select NO
Then you will see a new screen
It will list the OS (partitions) you have on the machine.
At the bottom of the screen you should the D key item so you can DEL. the items
listed.(arrow keys up or down)
When you do this windows ask you if you want to make a new partition select yes.
At this point you can make more than one or just one.
Then it will format the 1st one and run the install.
